Kigali to Volcanoes NP and Conservation Tour

Begin the day with a pickup from your Kigali hotel and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a moving introduction to Rwanda’s history. Enjoy a scenic 2.5 hour drive to Volcanoes National Park and check in at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon explore the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, then continue to the Gorilla Guardians Village for cultural experiences. Settle in for dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or similar.

First Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes National Park

Start the day early with a briefing at Kinigi Headquarters before venturing into the rainforest with expert trackers. Hike through lush vegetation to locate a habituated gorilla family and spend a magical hour observing their natural behavior. After the trek return to the lodge to relax, enjoy lunch and unwind for the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or similar.

Second Optional Gorilla Trek and Return to Kigali

Alternatively you visit the scenic Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. After your activity travel back to Kigali where your driver guide will drop you at your hotel, marking the end of your journey.
