Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

At 9:00 AM you’ll drive north via Mt. Kenya, passing through coffee plantations, to Samburu Game Reserve. Samburu hosts the “Special Five,” and you’ll enjoy afternoon game drives with the opportunity to spot them and other wildlife. Samburu National Reserve is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ny’iro River and covers 165 square kilometers. It is a unique conservation haven, famous for an abundance of rare species. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Samburu National Reserve

Spend a full day in Samburu Game Reserve with early morning and late afternoon game drives, enjoying a picnic lunch around midday. Meals and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. In the evening, after the game drive, you may opt for a visit to the Maasai village. After returning to the camp, you’ll rest and have dinner.

Samburu National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park

Leave after breakfast with a game drive en route. You’ll drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains and descend into the Great Rift Valley, where Lake Nakuru is located, via Thompson Falls. Dinner will be served, and you will retire to bed early to rest in preparation for the next day, when you will experience game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi

After breakfast, you’ll proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Have lunch at 12:00 PM, then depart for Nairobi, arriving in the mid or late afternoon. This itinerary is also available in reverse order.
