Our professional guide will collect you at the Airport and drop you at the Hotel for check in before heading to the beach for relaxation. An extensive white sandy beach of Lake Tanganyika offers a calm and cool waters in an active atmosphere. Along the sand there are many trees and huts where you can shelter yourself from the sun; it’s a perfect point to cool yourself. You will also get an opportunity to sample local food in some of the restaurants on the beach as you wait for an amazing view of the sunset on one of the best bars while enjoying your drink and some good music.

Day 2
Teza Tea Farms, Gitega Museum & Gishora Royal Drums

After eating the breakfast visit Teza Tea farms with its breathtaking panoramic view. Later drive to Gitega town the second town; both colonial and current political capital of Burundi. You will also visit Gitega National Museum with its collection of art crafts along colonial infrastructure. Then, visit the famous drum sanctuary of Gishora in Burundi, offering a must-see incredible performance. In Burundi, the sacred drums, now part of the UNESCO heritage, translated political power of the monarchy, fertility, etc. They were beaten on special occasions by specialized families called ‘Abatimbo’ in important places, announcing great events of the country like the royal enthronement, the sowing festival, the funerals of the kings and gave the rhythm of regular seasons. The site also houses two ritual drums Ruciteme & Murimirwa respectively which were not beaten. These two names are linked to the farming vocation and also refer to fertility in the local language, the king’s features.

Day 3
Gitega, Karera falls to Bujumbura

Have breakfast and then head to Karera falls. Visit the Karera waterfalls which is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Burundi. There are a total of five natural waterfalls embedded in a natural and green reserve. You will definitely get an experience on all of them. You will admire the scenic landscapes and green vegetation. After eating your lunch you'll be back to Bujumbura to tour Bujumbura the economic capital city of Burundi and visit the busy markets as you see how people go on with their daily activities.

Day 4

On this day you will visit Rusizi National Park for a morning boat cruise. The Park is the most famous National park in Burundi and reserves at the same time being the most visited of all due to the most enriched wildlife & the Crocodiles and hippos on River Rusizi. After visiting the Livingstone and Stanley monument, enjoy the sunset at the beach. Have a Burundian family experience by tasting the traditional cuisine, drinks and dance as we call off the tour.
