Day 2

After breakfast, depart Arusha and journey through Maasai villages and open plains toward Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Upon arrival, embark on a thrilling game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, home to lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species.

The Tarangire River attracts a wide variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the park, surrounded by nature. Continue your afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart karatu and enjoy a scenic drive through the highlands, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on your way to the legendary Serengeti. Watch the landscape transform from verdant hills to endless savannahs as you enter one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations.

Along the way, you may spot wildlife even before reaching the park gates. Arrive in the Serengeti by midday and begin your first thrilling game drive across the vast plains, home to the Big Five and the Great Migration.

Witness herds of wildebeests, zebras, and predators in their natural habitat.

Today is dedicated to exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti on full-day game drives. After an early breakfast, set out with your expert guide in search of wildlife at its most active.

Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration—a breathtaking spectacle of thousands of wildebeests and zebras crossing the plains. Travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater—one of the world’s largest intact calderas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 meters into the crater for a spectacular game drive in this wildlife-rich paradise.

The crater floor offers a chance to spot the Big Five, along with flamingos at Lake Magadi, hippos in freshwater pools, and rare black rhinos grazing in the open grasslands.

After an unforgettable day of wildlife viewing, ascend from the crater and head to your lodge on the rim or nearby for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the cool highland air and stunning views of the crater below.
