Enjoy an exciting game drive upon arrival, exploring the savannah until sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at Mikumi Safari lodge.

Today, your driver-guide will pick you up and drive from Mikumi to Udzungwa Mountains. You’ll hike to the Sanje Waterfalls, the tallest in the area. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the pools and keep an eye out for birds and wildlife in this special habitat. Baboons and vervet monkeys are often seen, and you may also spot amphibians and other birds. Overnight stay in Udzungwa.

After breakfast, drive to Ruaha National Park, a 5-6 hour journey. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation.
Udzungwa National Park, part of the Eastern Arc Mountains, is a biodiversity hotspot with many endemic species. The park offers stunning landscapes of rolling hills, valleys, mountains, and waterfalls. Nature lovers can explore the forests, home to rare species like the Udzungwa forest partridge, Iringa red colobus, and the Sanje mangabey. A highlight of the park is the Sanje Waterfall, the tallest in Tanzania’s national parks at 170 meters.

Enjoy a morning game drive at Mikumi National Park, home to diverse wildlife such as buffalo, lions, zebras, giraffes, and elephants. Giraffes can often be seen feeding on acacia leaves along the Mkata River. The park’s miombo woodlands also house greater kudu and sable antelope in the foothills. After the game drive, your driver-guide will transfer you to your hotel in Dar es Salaam.
