Arusha to Central Serengeti

Your safari begins at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. You’ll drive about 6 hours (240 km) to Serengeti National Park. The name Serengeti means "endless plains," and its vast grasslands are truly stunning. Home to the famous Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—the park also hosts many other animals like impalas and zebras. You’ll explore the central Serengeti (Seronera), known for its rich wildlife and the Seronera River, which attracts many animals. Keep an eye out for lion prides and the unique granite kopjes scattered across the plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Central Serengeti

Today, you can choose between two game drive options. Either enjoy a relaxed breakfast and leave around 9:00 AM for a full-day game drive with packed lunch, or head out early at 6:00 AM for a morning game drive, return for breakfast and some rest, then go on an afternoon game drive. You'll explore the central Serengeti, especially the Seronera area, known for its rich wildlife and year-round lion activity. The Seronera River attracts many animals, making it a great spot for sightings. After a picnic lunch during your drive, return to your lodge by around 5:00 PM for dinner and a restful night.

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Tour to Arusha

After an early breakfast, meet your guide and depart for Ngorongoro Crater with a game drive en route and a picnic lunch. Arrive at the crater by noon and descend into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Spend about 5 hours exploring the crater floor, home to elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. In the evening, ascend out of the crater and begin the 4-hour drive back to Arusha. You'll be dropped off at your preferred location, ending your safari with unforgettable memories.
