Day 1

In the early morning, you’ll be transferred from your Zanzibar hotel to the airport for your scheduled flight to Arusha. Upon landing at Arusha Airport, your northern Tanzania safari adventure begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its ancient baobab trees, sweeping savannahs, and large elephant populations, Tarangire offers a classic introduction to the country’s wildlife. The park is also home to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and more than 500 bird species, making it a haven for both big game and birdwatching enthusiasts. After an early breakfast at Into Ikumbi Safari Lodge, you’ll set off on a scenic drive toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the diverse landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering occasional wildlife sightings along the way. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch en route, taking in breathtaking views of the vast savannahs. As you enter the Central Serengeti renowned for its abundant wildlife and iconic open plains you’ll embark on your first game drive in the park. After breakfast at Farm of Dreams Lodge, you’ll depart for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, a small but ecologically diverse gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is renowned for its lush groundwater forest, scenic lake views, and rich wildlife, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, and the park's famous tree-climbing lions. Bird enthusiasts will delight in spotting flamingos, pelicans, and over 400 other bird species along the lake’s shores.
