After breakfast, meet your guide and crew for the drive to Machame Gate (1,800m), where you'll register and get climbing permits. Your Kilimanjaro trek then begins with an 11 km hike to Machame Camp (3,010m), taking 4–6 hours through lush rainforest. Expect possible rain bring gear. Stop midway for a picnic lunch. As you ascend, forest gives way to giant heather. If skies are clear, you'll glimpse Kibo Peak’s icy summit an inspiring preview of the days ahead.

Day 2
Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Machame Camp to Shira Camp
After breakfast, leave Machame Camp (3,010m) for Shira Camp (3,845m), a 5 km trek taking 4–6 hours. The trail climbs out of the rainforest to reveal stunning views of the Shira Plateau and Kibo Peak. Pause at Picnic Rock for photos, then continue to Shira Camp near Shira Cave. Enjoy lunch, then take a 1–2 hour acclimatization hike, gaining 300m to help your body adjust. Return for a hot dinner, with time to relax and reflect before the next day’s climb.

Day 3
Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Today’s 11 km trek to Barranco Camp (3,960m) takes 6–8 hours, with several ascents and descents. Begin with a steady climb toward Lava Tower (4,630m), where you’ll stop for lunch and acclimatization. Afterward, descend into Barranco Valley, known for its dramatic cliffs and scenic views. At camp, enjoy dinner and the view of the looming Barranco Wall, tomorrow’s first challenge.

Day 4
Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Start the day early with breakfast before climbing the Barranco Wall, a steep but scenic ascent. After the wall, the 5 km trail to Karanga Camp (4,035m) winds across ridges with views of Kibo’s ice fields, taking 4–6 hours. Your guide will set a steady pace. At camp, enjoy a hot lunch and rest, then take a short acclimatization hike gaining 200m. Return for dinner and a peaceful night beneath the stars.

Day 5
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
After breakfast, begin your 6 km trek to Barafu Camp (4,640m), the base for your summit attempt. The 4–6 hour hike offers sweeping views of Kibo Peak and the rugged landscape. At camp, rest while our team prepares everything. Later, take a short acclimatization hike to help your body adjust. Return for a warm dinner, then rest and mentally prepare for the summit climb beginning later that night.

Day 6
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Begin your summit attempt at midnight. Trek through heavy scree towards Stella Point (5,685 m/18,650 ft), then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m/19,341 ft), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating, descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp (3,100 m/10,170 ft). The total trek time is 12-15 hours.

Day 7

After a hearty breakfast, begin the final 12 km descent to Mweka Gate (1,640m), a 4–6 hour trek through lush forest, filled with vibrant scenery and a deep sense of accomplishment. At the gate, you’ll receive official certificates to celebrate your achievement of reaching Africa’s highest point. From there, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation for a well-earned rest, reflecting on your unforgettable journey as it will mark the end of your Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing adventure.
