Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your Arusha hotel and drive approximately 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. Known for its majestic baobab trees and massive elephant herds, Tarangire offers an excellent introduction to East African wildlife. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the park, spotting a variety of animals such as giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, lions, and more. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most wildlife-rich areas in Africa. You’ll spend the morning exploring the crater floor, where you may spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino along with hippos, flamingos, hyenas, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater before beginning your drive back to Arusha, arriving by late afternoon.
