Welcome To Uganda And Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your guide or driver will pick you from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable forest located in southwestern Uganda. The journey lasts around 9 hours and includes a lunch break in mbarara at the Igongo Cultural Center en route. As you drive through savannah forests and tropical rain forests you will also cross the terraced hills of Kigezi which locals call Switzerland of East Africa. Reach Bwindi by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience

After an early breakfast, Your safari driver will assist you with packing lunch boxes before taking you to the park head quarters for briefing. Other fellow travelers will join you at park headquarters to learn essential trekking guidelines from the park warden or head ranger before starting your Gorilla Trek. you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek in a group of eight people and at this point your journey into the gorilla sanctuary starts. The expedition duration for gorilla trekking range from 1-8 hours depends on both the movement patterns of the gorillas and terrain. After your gorilla encounter you will be allowed one full hour of interaction with the gorillas then head back to the park office for your gorilla trekking certificate. In the evening you may relax at the lodge or go for a community walk where you will be entertained in some of the cultural dance of the Batwa community.

Transfer back to Entebbe | Stopover at the Equator

After breakfast we will start the journey to transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe, will have a stopover at the Equator Line in kayabwe for a photographic moment, craft and boutique shopping the proceed to your accommodation or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
