Dar es Salaam to Tarangire National Park
Today, your safari begins with a flight from Dar es Salaam to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most captivating wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the stunning Tarangire River, which attracts a variety of animals such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and buffaloes — along with the lions that follow them, making predator sightings nearly guaranteed.
During the dry season, the river becomes the only water source for miles, drawing large herds of elephants. Tarangire is home to the largest elephant population in Northern Tanzania, especially between June–October and December–March.
