Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport by your professional safari guide. Set off on a captivating journey towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, driving through the awe-inspiring Great Rift Valley. A short stop at a viewpoint allows you to take in the dramatic escarpment views and capture some beautiful photos. You’ll continue through Narok, a lively Maasai town and a great place to stretch and experience some local life.

By early afternoon, you'll arrive at the camp, nestled in the hills bordering the reserve. After check-in and a delicious hot lunch, take some time to relax and settle into the tranquil surroundings. In the late afternoon, head out for your first game drive inside Masai Mara. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, gazelles, and even big cats if you're lucky. As the sun sets over the golden savannah, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay, ready for the next day’s adventure.

Rise early for an optional hot air balloon safari (at an extra cost), offering a once-in-a-lifetime aerial view of the Masai Mara at sunrise. Glide silently above the plains, watching wildlife awaken and scatter below a magical and unforgettable experience. After landing, enjoy a bush breakfast in the wild before rejoining your guide for the day’s drive. If you’re not ballooning, you'll still start early for a full-day game drive with packed lunch.

The Reserve has traverse different ecosystems, from rolling grasslands to acacia woodlands, tracking the Big Five lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo along with cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species. Stop at the Mara River, the dramatic crossing point during the Great Migration for a scenic picnic lunch where you can often spot hippos and crocodiles. After breakfast and check-out, begin your journey back to Nairobi, but not before an enriching visit to a local Maasai village. This cultural excursion is included in your tour and offers insight into the traditional Maasai lifestyle, including their vibrant dress, warrior dances, and communal living. It’s a meaningful chance to understand one of Kenya’s most iconic communities.

On your return to Nairobi, you have the option (at an additional cost) to detour via Lake Naivasha. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the freshwater lake, spotting hippos and birds, or explore the scenic Crescent Island Sanctuary, where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a predator-free environment. After the optional activities, proceed with the drive, arriving in Nairobi by late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or airport with memories of a truly immersive safari experience.
