Depart by road at 07:30, heading north through Kenya’s diverse landscapes toward the rugged beauty of Samburu. As you travel into the northern frontier, watch the scenery change from highland farms to arid savannah dotted with acacia trees. Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive, exploring Samburu’s dramatic terrain in search of elephants, lions, and the reserve’s famed Samburu Special Five. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
