Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our driver-guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. The rest of the day is free for you to rest after your flight, enjoy the lodge’s amenities, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings. This evening, your guide will provide a short briefing about the adventure ahead.

Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, often called the “home of elephants” due to its high concentration of these gentle giants. The park is also dotted with impressive baobab trees and supports a variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species. You will enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park, soaking in the unique atmosphere of this hidden gem. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Today’s journey takes you through the beautiful Ngorongoro highlands into the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As you descend onto the endless plains, the scenery changes dramatically and wildlife becomes more abundant. You’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting herds of zebras and wildebeests as well as predators such as cheetahs and lions. Serengeti’s vastness and golden sunsets create an unforgettable first impression.

A full day is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. Depending on the season, you may witness the spectacle of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Even outside the migration season, Serengeti teems with resident wildlife: elephants, giraffes, gazelles, and an abundance of predators including lions, leopards, and hyenas. Your guide will take you to the best spots for wildlife viewing while you soak in the beauty of the savannah.

Day 5

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an incredible density of wildlife, giving you the chance to spot Africa’s Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—in one place. Alongside, you’ll see hippos wallowing in pools, flamingos in soda lakes, and countless other species. Later in the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and return to Karatu for a restful evening.

On your final day, visit Mto wa Mbu, a bustling village at the foot of the Rift Valley escarpment. A guided cultural tour will introduce you to local community—explore banana plantations, taste fresh tropical fruits, visit craft markets, and meet members of different community who call this area home. It’s a wonderful way to connect with Tanzanian culture before your departure. Later, you’ll be transferred to Arusha or directly to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your memorable safari.
