Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your accommodation in Moshi. After checking in, take some time to relax and acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Moshi town, where you can explore local markets and experience the vibrant culture of the Chaga people. Your guide will provide insights into Mount Kilimanjaro, which looms majestically over the town. In the evening, gather for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where you can sample traditional Tanzanian cuisine. This day sets the tone for an exciting week ahead as you prepare for both mountain climbing and safari adventures.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, depart for the Marangu Gate to begin your ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route. This route is known for its scenic beauty and diverse ecosystems. The trek begins through lush rainforest before transitioning into moorland as you ascend. Your experienced guides will lead you through various terrains while ensuring your safety and comfort. Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut (3,720m/12,200ft)
This extra day is crucial for acclimatization. Options include a guided walk towards Mawenzi Hut (4,600m/15,100ft) and back, or a shorter walk towards the "Zebra Rocks". This helps your body adjust to the altitude before ascending further.
Activities: Acclimatization walks, rest.
Overnight: Horombo Hut.

Today’s trek leads you from Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley Camp, where you'll experience one of the most beautiful sections of the climb. The path includes traversing around Barranco Wall before descending slightly into Karanga Valley—a crucial acclimatization point before heading higher up towards Barafu Camp later on. Expect stunning views of glaciers and unique flora along this route. After setting up camp at Karanga Valley, enjoy a warm meal prepared by your crew while soaking in panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro's summit.

Day 5

Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,703m)
The trek from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut is challenging but rewarding. You will traverse alpine desert terrain characterized by sparse vegetation and stunning vistas of Kilimanjaro's glaciers. This section takes around 6-8 hours over approximately 10 kilometers. Once at Kibo Hut, you'll have an early dinner and prepare for the summit attempt.

Day 6
Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak and Descend to Horombo Hut

You will start your ascent around midnight or early morning when temperatures are cooler. The trek involves steep inclines along a rocky path known as Gilman’s Point before reaching Uhuru Peak—the highest point in Africa—at sunrise if conditions permit. After taking photos and celebrating your achievement, you will descend back down to Horombo Hut for rest.

Day 7
Horombo Hut to Marangu

On your final day on Kilimanjaro, you will descend from Horombo back down through Mandara before reaching Marangu Gate where certificates are awarded based on your success level (summit vs non-summit). A vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to Arusha for relaxation after an exhilarating week.

Day 8
Tarangire National Park

After breakfast in Arusha, travel by road (approximately two hours) to Tarangire National Park known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive where you'll have opportunities to see lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras among other wildlife species in their natural habitat. A picnic lunch will be provided within the park before continuing with afternoon game drives until sunset.
