Day 1

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, the initial step in this grand adventure involves a seamless transfer, orchestrated to transport you directly to your designated hotel situated in the town of Moshi. The location is strategically chosen for its proximity to the base of the majestic mountain you are preparing to ascend.

This particular day, the day of arrival, is not intended for strenuous activity or immediate commencement of the climb. Its primary and most crucial purpose is dedicated entirely to the vital processes of acclimatization and comprehensive preparation for the demanding physical undertaking that lies ahead. This refers to the essential physiological adjustment of your body to the lower oxygen levels present at higher altitudes, a gradual process that begins even at the elevation of Moshi. It is fundamental to mitigating the risks associated with altitude sickness during the ascent. It is advisable to prioritize resting upon reaching your hotel.

Day 2

Moshi to Machame Gate – Machame Camp

Moshi to Machame Gate – Machame Camp

After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate for registration, Begin trekking through dense rainforest with rich vegetation and wildlife. The trail is scenic, humid, and full of natural beauty, You will hike for about 5–7 hours to reach Machame Camp.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the mountain campsite.

Day 3

Machame Camp – Shira Camp

The journey continues as you leave the rainforest and enter the moorland zone, Vegetation becomes shorter with wide views of the mountain landscape, You will gradually gain altitude while enjoying fresh mountain air, Clear weather may reveal stunning views of Kibo Peak in the distance. Shira Camp is reached in the afternoon for rest and acclimatization.

Day 4

Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

This is an important acclimatization day that helps your body adjust to the altitude. You will hike toward the famous Lava Tower, a dramatic volcanic rock formation standing at over 4,600 meters above sea level.
After lunch near Lava Tower, descend gradually to Barranco Camp. The descent is important for acclimatization and greatly increases summit success chances. Along the route, you will pass through the beautiful Senecio forest filled with giant groundsels unique to Kilimanjaro.
Barranco Camp is considered one of the most scenic camps on the mountain with spectacular views of the Barranco Wall and glaciers above.

Day 5

Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

After breakfast, begin climbing the famous Barranco Wall. Although steep in some areas, it is non-technical and offers incredible views across the mountain valleys below.
After reaching the top of the wall, continue trekking through alpine desert terrain with dramatic landscapes and distant glacier views. The environment becomes colder and more rugged as you approach Barafu Camp, the final base camp before the summit attempt.
You will arrive in the afternoon for an early dinner and rest before beginning the midnight summit climb.

Day 6

Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp – Transfer to Arusha

Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp – Transfer to Arusha

Around midnight, begin the most challenging and rewarding part of the climb. Trek slowly under the stars toward Stella Point and finally to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
Reaching the summit at sunrise is an unforgettable experience as golden light spreads across glaciers and clouds far below. Celebrate your achievement, take photographs, and enjoy the incredible views from the Roof of Africa.
The climb is slow and challenging due to altitude and cold conditions. At sunrise, you reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m). After celebration and photos, you descend carefully to Mweka Camp. From Mweka Gate, you drive back to Arusha for hotel rest and recovery.

Day 7

Arusha – Serengeti National Park

Arusha – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive through the scenic highlands and the Great Rift Valley towards Serengeti National Park. Enjoy route game drive as you enter the vast plains of Serengeti, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other wildlife species. You will arrive in the afternoon and continue with a short game drive before heading to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.
