We will wake up early and have breakfast between 6:00 and 6:30 in the morning. After that, we will drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater. On the way, we’ll stop for about 10 to 15 minutes at a viewpoint to enjoy the amazing views and take some photos. Your guide will also share a short story about how the crater was formed.

We will have lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site, a small pond in the southern part of the crater. You can get out of the car here and enjoy your meal. The pool is home to many hippos, and sometimes you might see other animals coming to drink water.

Ngorongoro is a World Heritage Site because of its rich wildlife. It is the only crater in the world where many animals live all year round. You’ll get to see animals very close, and it’s one of the best places to spot Africa’s Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino.

Day 3

Arusha to Materuni Waterfall

Arusha to Materuni Waterfall

We will wake up early and have breakfast between 7:00 and 8:00 in the morning. Then we will drive to Materuni Waterfalls.

This tour is very different from a safari. The hike is easy to medium and goes through farms, small villages, and local bars. It is a great way to stretch your legs after spending a lot of time in a safari car.

After the hike, we will do a fun coffee tour. Local villagers will show you how to make fresh organic coffee using traditional tools. There will be singing, dancing, and happy moments. You will then enjoy a hot cup of tasty coffee with low caffeine.

To finish the day, you will have a delicious local lunch prepared by Chagga women. After lunch, we will take you to the airport or your hotel.
