Especially during the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes a vital water source, attracting large herds of elephants, zebras, and antelopes—as well as predators like lions and leopards. The park is home to over 500 bird species, including several that are endemic to Tanzania, making it a true haven for birdwatching.

Day 2
Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands toward Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy stunning views before reaching the park entrance, where your game drive adventure begins.
Covering about 15,000 sq km, Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. It’s home to over 2 million herbivores, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and nearly 500 bird species. In the dry season, the park comes alive with massive herds of wildebeests and zebras during the Great Migration.
Even outside migration months, the Northern Serengeti offers incredible wildlife viewing, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and the rare oribi antelope.
By evening, you'll head to your lodge or camp for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.

After breakfast, embark on a thrilling game drive to the northern Serengeti for your overnight stay. You'll explore the Bologonja and Mara River regions, where the famous wildebeest migration unfolds in dramatic fashion. From July to September, this area becomes the stage for one of nature’s greatest spectacles—thousands of wildebeests and zebras risk everything to cross the Mara River. Battling strong currents and lurking Nile crocodiles, they push forward on their journey into Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. Witness this breathtaking moment of survival, instinct, and determination in the wild.
