Following an early breakfast, you’ll descend the steep walls of the crater, entering the floor of this massive volcanic caldera that spans approximately 260 square kilometers.
The Ngorongoro Crater hosts one of the densest concentrations of wildlife on the continent. During your game drive, you’ll encounter a rich variety of animals, including large herds of buffalo and wildebeest, prides of lions, warthogs, zebras, and possibly one of the few remaining black rhinos in Tanzania.
Throughout the morning, you’ll traverse different ecosystems within the crater—grasslands, acacia forests, and soda lakes—each supporting different wildlife species.
