Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Upon arrival, you shall be welcomed by an Otter African Safaris guide at Entebbe International Airport, from where you will transfer to your booked accommodation for the night. Depending on your time of arrival at the airport, you will have lunch before transferring to your hotel in Entebbe for some rest as you prepare for the ultimate Uganda safari experience the following day.

Day 2

Shoebill Excursion at the Mabamba Wetlands

Shoebill Excursion at the Mabamba Wetlands

After your morning breakfast, you will head out for the shoebill excursion in the Mabamba wetlands. You will go to the wetlands by a motorised dugout boat into the dense papyrus to look for the Shoebill. You will also have a chance to see other bird species in the wetlands. After the shoebill excursion, you will return to your hotel for lunch and relax in the afternoon as you prepare for the following day. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 3

Transfer to Jinja

Transfer to Jinja

After your breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and transfer to Jinja, the capital of many water activities in Uganda. You will have an en route visit to the Sezibwa falls, which have breathtaking views, and learn the history of the falls. You will then continue to Jinja with scenic views of Mabira forest, sugarcane plantations, and Uganda’s first suspension Bridge.
You will have lunch at the hotel and check in afterwards. After lunch, you will set out for a visit to the Source of the River Nile and a boat cruise on the Nile. This will be a wonderful experience as you will take many pictures at the Source of the Nile monument. After that, you will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After your breakfast, you will head out for white water rafting on the Nile River. It’s a 4-hour activity, and this activity will be recorded. You will take a film of the experience as a remembrance. After water rafting, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the hotel in Jinja and you will transfer to Kapchorwa, the home of the Sipi Falls. You will arrive late in the evening and check into the lodge as you wait for dinner. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will embark on the tour of the Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa. The Sipi Falls is a series of 3 falls. You will visit all the falls with a nature walk, doing the hike. This visit takes about 3 hours. After that, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the coffee plantations in Kapchorwa. You will learn the steps coffee goes through to be served to people. After this experience, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast in Sipi Falls, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park is in the Kaabong district. This journey will take approximately 6 hours, but it will be a fun-filled journey with many scenic views. You will have an en route lunch on your way to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will reach the lodge, check in, and relax as you
wait for dinner. If you are not tired, you will head for an evening game drive in the park. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Morning Game Drive in Kidepo Valley National Park

After your early morning breakfast, you will depart for an early morning game drive at 6:00 am in the rolling plains of Kidepo Valley, and look out for different mammal species such as lions, leopards, elephants, elands, zebras, ostriches, giraffes, buffaloes, and cheetahs, which can be spotted at the Narus valley when they drink water.
You will then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a community visit to the Karamajongs, where you will be able to learn about their way of life. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

It will be a long journey, but you will have stops along the way for relaxation. You will also have lunch on your way to the Rhino Sanctuary. You will arrive at the sanctuary later. You will check in at the lodge and relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

After your morning breakfast, you will head out for rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. It’s an activity where you track the rhinos on foot, and when you have sighted them, you spend one hour with them. After the rhino tracking experience, you will have lunch before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park. In the park, you will visit the top of Murchison Falls, the powerful falls where the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the Devil’s Cauldron, creating a trademark rainbow.

You'll have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6 am, and head into the park and look out for viewing the different mammals such as elephants, lions, leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes like Uganda kob, Jackson Hartebeest, bushbucks. You will have time to relax for lunch.
After lunch, you will join the boat cruise to take you to the bottom of Murchison Falls as you spot aquatic wildlife such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, and water birds. On return, you'll catch up with sunset view before dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and start your journey to Kibale National Park in Fort Portal in Western Uganda, through the tea plantations and rolling hills, to reach Fort Portal town. While in Fort Portal, you will have an en-route lunch and continue your journey to Kibale National Park. After checking into the lodge, you will embark on a guided
nature walk in the Bigodi wetlands. You have a chance to spot 138 bird species.

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters at Kanyanchu at 7:30 am for the briefing by the guides about the dos and don’ts while with the chimpanzees. You will then embark on a trek in search of the chimpanzees. Once you have spotted a group, you will spend one hour with them observing their different behaviours. You will also spot other primates in the forest. After the chimpanzee tracking experience, you will be awarded a chimpanzee tracking certificate. Afterward, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You'll have your breakfast very early in the morning. You'll depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6 am to the rolling plains of Uganda’s second largest national park, and look out for: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda kobs, hyenas, and hippos. For any birder, there are several birds to sightsee
During the drive, you'll return to the lodge for some rest time and lunch.

After lunch at the lodge, you will go for a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward. You will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, buffalo, elephants, and crocodiles, among others.

You will check out of the lodge after your breakfast and transfer to the Ishasha sector, a sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park that is popular for tree-climbing lions. You will check in at the lodge and have lunch.

After lunch, you will head out for an afternoon game drive and search for the tree-climbing lions that are usually seen lying up in the fig trees in the park. You will also be able to see other animals like the elephants, leopards, topis, warthogs, among others, on the game drive. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge.

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report to the park headquarters at 7:30 am for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to the afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment.

Gorilla tracking exercise is physically demanding, but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to assist you during tracking, and these are readily available at the park headquarters. The time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour once you have found them. This is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour. You'll return to the lodge after tracking and freshen up.
