Upon arrival or after breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, meet your driver-guide for a brief Kigali city tour. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful site dedicated to Rwanda’s tragic history and its journey of resilience and unity. Drive through the vibrant streets of Kigali before heading north toward Volcanoes National Park.

Enjoy scenic views of the Rwandan countryside, hills, and local villages during the 2.5-hour drive. Arrive in Musanze and check in at Tiloreza Volcanoes Ecolodge, where you’ll have dinner and overnight.

Gorilla Trekking – Visit Gorilla Guardians Village

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. Accompanied by experienced rangers, trek through the lush rainforest until you meet a gorilla family. Spend up to one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village, where you’ll experience traditional Rwandan music, dance, and customs.

Golden Monkey Trekking – Transfer to Kigali

Start the day with an early breakfast and head back to the park headquarters for a second trek—this time to see the rare and playful golden monkeys. Found only in the Virunga Mountains, these primates are known for their energetic behavior and photo-friendly nature.

After the trek, return to the lodge to freshen up and check out. Begin your drive back to Kigali, with optional stops for crafts or scenic viewpoints. Arrival in Kigali will be in the afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your adventure.
