1-Day Canopy Walkway Tour in Nyungwe National Park

Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kigali at around 4:30 AM. Embark on a scenic drive southwest through beautiful rolling hills, tea plantations, and local villages on your way to Nyungwe Forest National Park (approx. 5-6 hours).

Upon arrival at the park, proceed to the Uwinka Visitor Center for a short briefing. Afterward, begin the hike to the canopy walkway, which is part of the Igishigishigi Trail. The walk takes about 1.5 to 2 hours round trip and offers stunning aerial views of the rainforest. From the 160-meter-long suspension bridge, spot various bird species, butterflies, and even monkeys swinging in the treetops.

After the walk, enjoy a packed or local lunch, then begin the journey back to Kigali, arriving in the evening. Drop-off at your hotel or residence.
