Kigali to Nyungwe National Park - Heritage Tour

Your guide will pick you up from your Kigali hotel in the morning for a scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park. Along the way, you'll stop at Nyanza Royal Palace Museum, the former seat of the Rwandan monarchy, to learn about the country’s royal heritage.

You'll continue to Huye for a guided tour of the Ethnographic Museum, one of the finest museums in East Africa, showcasing Rwanda’s history, culture, and traditions.

You'll arrive in Nyungwe in the afternoon and proceed for a tea plantation tour. You'll walk through the beautiful tea fields, meet local pickers, and learn how Rwanda’s finest tea is grown and processed.

You'll check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee Trekking – Canopy Walkway Experience

You'll begin the day very early with a light breakfast and head to the park reception for a briefing before the chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by park rangers, you'll enter the dense rainforest to track these energetic primates. Once found, you'll spend an hour observing them in their natural environment.

You'll return to your lodge for rest and lunch.

In the afternoon, you'll head to Uwinka Visitor Center for the canopy walkway experience—a 160-meter-long suspension bridge hanging 70 meters above the forest floor. You'll enjoy panoramic views and the chance to spot birds, monkeys, and butterflies high in the treetops.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.

Kamiranzovu Waterfall Hike – Return to Kigali

After breakfast, you'll enjoy a guided nature hike to the Kamiranzovu Waterfall, the largest in Nyungwe Forest. This beautiful walk takes you through pristine rainforest, wetlands, and rich biodiversity.

After the hike, you'll return to the lodge, check out, and begin the drive back to Kigali. You'll arrive in the evening and be dropped off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your Nyungwe adventure.
