Arusha – Tarangire National Park

At 06h00, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha by your professional safari guide in a 4x4 Land Cruiser. After a short briefing, depart for Tarangire National Park. On arrival at the gate, you will begin a full-day game drive in the park.

Tarangire is famous for its massive baobab trees, huge elephant herds, and scenic Tarangire River, which attracts a variety of animals, especially in the Dry season. Common sightings include elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, ostriches, and many bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site inside the park with views of the river. Continue with a game drive in the southern or central sector of the park, depending on sightings. Later, exit the park and drive to your lodge in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Optional: Visit a Maasai village en route (extra cost).

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

At 06h00, you will have breakfast at the lodge, then drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day.

You can expect to see rhinos (if lucky), elephants, lions, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, jackals, hippos, flamingos (seasonal), and many more. The crater floor game drive lasts about 5 to 6 hours. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site with scenic views. Have a final game drive as you ascend the crater and begin your return drive to Arusha.

On arrival in Arusha, you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport (if flying out the same evening).
