The Road to the Wild – Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your journey kicks off with a warm welcome in Nairobi. Whether from your hotel or the airport, your Sovereign Adventures guide will get you rolling in a comfortable 4x4 safari cruiser, custom-built for the road and the wild.
You’ll travel through Limuru’s highlands and down into the dramatic Great Rift Valley, with a stop at a scenic viewpoint for photos and fresh air. As the road stretches out toward Narok town, the urban fades and the savannah begins.
Arrive in the Masai Mara in time for a hot lunch at your lodge or tented camp. After settling in, head out for your first afternoon game drive. This is the golden hour — prime time for wildlife. Think zebras grazing in low light, elephants at watering holes, and maybe even a lion pride preparing for the night.

Chasing Giants – Full-Day Safari & Mara River Drama

After an early breakfast, gear up for a full-day game drive deep into the Mara. You’ll carry packed lunch boxes and head out with one mission: witness the drama of the wild.
Drive toward the Mara River, the stage for the Great Migration. If the timing’s right, you'll see wildebeest and zebras gather, hesitate, and then charge across the crocodile-infested waters. It’s raw nature at its most intense.
Along the way, you’ll likely spot lions lazing in the shade, elephants marching in herds, and possibly a cheetah stalking its next meal. Your guide will share tracking tips and stories that bring the land to life.
Find a shaded spot in the bush for your picnic-style lunch. Then keep exploring until the sun begins to set.

Mara Mornings & Maasai Moments

Start the day with a sunrise game drive. Early mornings are ideal for catching the big cats while they’re active — leopards, hyenas, jackals, and the mighty lion are all on the move.
Return for a late breakfast and some rest at camp.
In the afternoon, take a trip to a local Maasai village. Meet the warriors, learn about their age-old traditions, and experience life in a Manyatta — the traditional homestead. This is a cultural exchange, not a show — ask questions, take part, and connect.
Back at camp, enjoy a relaxed evening. Swap stories by the fire or just gaze at the stars — no city lights here, just the wild sky.

The Call of the Savannah – More Wildlife, More Wonder

This is your flex day. Depending on what you’ve seen so far, you can choose to:
• Do a morning and afternoon game drive, with lunch and rest in between
• OR go for another full-day drive to explore new areas of the park
Your guide will work with you to track down animals you haven’t seen yet — whether it’s the elusive black rhino, a leopard draped over a tree branch, or a hyena clan moving as one.
This is your last full day in the wild, so let the Mara surprise you.

Goodbye, Grasslands – Return to Nairobi

Enjoy a slow breakfast as the sun rises over the Mara one last time. Then check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi, retracing your route through the Great Rift Valley.
Arrival in the city will be in the afternoon. We’ll drop you off at your hotel or directly at the airport, depending on your onward plans.
If time allows, you can opt for an extra touch — like lunch at The Carnivore Restaurant or a quick Nairobi city drive (paid separately).
This marks the end of your adventure — but the memories? They’ll roam with you forever.
