Welcome to Tanzania! In the morning, you will meet and greet our representative from Tiem Tours and Safaris at Dar es Salaam airport and transfer to the hotel of your choice in the city center for easy pick-up the next day. On the first day of your tour, around 4:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in the city center and transfer you to the train.

Upon arrival in Dodoma, our driver will pick you up from the train station and take you on a city tour. Discover Tanzania’s national capital, a custom-built city where the skyline is dominated by churches, mosques, Hindu temples, and government buildings where weighty decisions are made. You’ll also welcome the chance to visit the market, and access banks and other useful services. You will stay at a wine estate, where you can enjoy the vineyards and a guided nature walk. The evening will conclude with a special 4-wine tasting experience.

You'll have the chance to meet the indigenous Sandawe tribe and gain insight into their rich culture and lifestyle. A delicious picnic lunch will be provided during the tour. This unforgettable journey blends history, art, culture, and nature into one incredible adventure. In the evening, return to your charming wine estate in Dodoma for a memorable dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

This morning we’ll depart on a stunning scenic road trip towards Iringa. Along the way, you’ll pass the impressive Mtera Dam (please note that government regulations prohibit stopping or taking photos at the dam) and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Upon arrival in Iringa, you’ll be led on an insightful city tour and a visit to the iconic Gangilonga Rock, where captivating stories about the region’s history and culture await.
Pretty Iringa has plenty to enjoy while you’re here. Colonial architecture, historic rock art, and deeply significant archaeological sites scattered around the town are just the start. You can also enjoy the many places to stay and eat, and a busy market as you rest here in Tanzania’s Southern Highlands.
End the day by soaking in the sunset and enjoying panoramic views from the terrace of your hotel.

Get ready for an incredible road trip to Ruaha National Park! You'll travel in a specially designed open safari vehicle with a professional guide, giving you unbeatable views of the African bush.
Ruaha is famous for its big prides of lions and large herds of elephants and buffalo. You'll likely see so many giraffes, hippos, and zebras you'll lose count! Keep an eye out for elusive leopards too. The scenery is breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset when the landscape turns golden and animals gather along the rivers.
With over 450 bird species, Ruaha is a birdwatcher's paradise. Plus, you'll encounter more wildlife than other tourists. As evening approaches, enjoy a delicious and satisfying dinner around a warm campfire, sharing your day's adventures. Then, retreat to your comfortable wildlife cottage in the heart of the park, falling asleep to the sounds of nature.

In the morning, embark on an exhilarating walking safari along the Great Ruaha River, guided by experienced and armed park rangers (if the weather conditions are suitable). This is a truly rare opportunity to get us close to the wildlife as it gets. You will also have a chance to do another morning en-route game drive and blend with nature from your specialized safari vehicle.
After an early lunch, bid farewell to Ruaha National Park and visit an authentic Maasai village, located near the park’s border. Here, you’ll witness their unique way of life, living in perfect harmony with nature and wildlife.
As you return to your accommodation in Iringa, take a moment to enjoy another spectacular sunset over this remarkable and vibrant city.

After your final picnic lunch with us, your dedicated driver will escort you to Iringa Airport, where you’ll board your flight to Dar es Salaam (flight tickets are not included, but we can help you book your ticket), carrying memories of this remarkable adventure.
