After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off on a guided gorilla trek. You'll hike through dense rainforest terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family, an experience that may take about 30 minutes to several hours, depending on their location. Once found, you’ll spend a remarkable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural environment.
Return to the lodge for a late lunch and enjoy a quiet afternoon, with the option to visit a nearby community or simply rest.
