Arusha to tarangire national park
In the morning, your personal safari guide will collect you from your accommodation in Arusha, and your adventure begins. The journey takes you along a well-maintained tarmac road, winding through the gently rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, you’ll pass vibrant scenes of daily life—Maasai people in their colorful shukas walking alongside the road, herding cattle, riding bicycles, or guiding donkey carts.
Arriving at Tarangire National Park, known for its impressive elephant populations, you’ll explore its diverse landscapes from the open roof of your safari vehicle. Traverse seasonal swamps, vast savannas, and the life-giving Tarangire River as you search for wildlife such as zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and giraffes. After breakfast, continue your journey toward the lush highlands, where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, coffee, and corn across the fertile landscape. As you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, pause to take in the awe-inspiring view of the Ngorongoro Crater—a vast, ancient caldera formed by a volcanic eruption nearly three million years ago.
Your adventure then continues to the legendary Serengeti National Park, whose name means "Endless Plains" in Maa, the language of the Maasai. Arriving around midday, you'll begin to explore Tanzania’s largest national park, a land of astonishing biodiversity. From sweeping grasslands and shimmering lakes to swamps, savannahs, and rugged hills, the Serengeti offers a dramatic backdrop for one of nature’s greatest spectacles: the Great Migration. Serengeti national park
Serengeti national park
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the wonders of Serengeti National Park through a full day of game drives. Home to an extraordinary variety of wildlife—including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos—the Serengeti is best known for its iconic migrating herds of wildebeest and zebras. Their movement follows the rhythm of the rains and changes from year to year: from November to December, they journey south from the wooded hills of the north to the open grasslands; from April to June, they begin their return north during the longer rainy season.
As you traverse the vast plains, keep your eyes peeled not only for the great herds but also for the predators that follow them—stealthy leopards, swift cheetahs, and powerful lions, all lying in wait. Each turn offers a new spectacle, a deeper connection with the raw, untamed beauty of the African wild.

Early risers are rewarded with a spectacular sunrise spilling over the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. After a hearty breakfast, descend the rugged track into one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater was formed millions of years ago by a massive volcanic eruption. Today, it stands as one of the world’s most unique and concentrated ecosystems—610 meters deep and covering approximately 260 square kilometers.
Home to an estimated 25,000 animals, the crater offers some of the best wildlife viewing in all of Tanzania. Within minutes, you may encounter wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and a stunning array of birdlife—over 500 species call this area home. And if fortune is on your side, you might even catch a rare glimpse of the endangered black rhino hidden in the tall grasses.

After breakfast, set off for the final destination of your epic safari adventure: Lake Manyara National Park. Located just 120 km west of Arusha, this relatively small but ecologically rich park offers incredible biodiversity within a compact area. Its centerpiece is the park’s namesake—a shallow, alkaline lake that expands and contracts with the seasons, drawing thousands of flamingos and supporting over 500 bird species.
As you explore the park, you’ll encounter a wide variety of wildlife including monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and elephants. With a bit of luck, you may even spot Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions lounging on low-hanging branches.
