Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania, is a vibrant city driven by tourism. Your driver-guide will meet you either in Arusha or at Arusha Airport. From there, you’ll transfer to Tarangire National Park to begin your private safari game drive.

The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it and serves as the primary source of fresh water for the area's abundant wildlife. Known for its large elephant population, diverse birdlife, and authentic safari atmosphere, Tarangire offers a quieter, more intimate experience than some of the more visited parks. You’ll enjoy a packed lunch around midday. After the afternoon game drive, you’ll head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, your driver-guide will take you to the entrance gates of Lake Manyara National Park. This park boasts remarkable ecological diversity within a relatively compact area. Its most famous residents, the tree-climbing lions, can often be seen lounging in the branches of mahogany and acacia trees—keep an eye out, as spotting one is a special treat!

As you move from the dense bushland to the open grassy shores of the lake, you may encounter wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, and large buffalo grazing peacefully. The lake itself is a haven for birdlife, with over 400 recorded species. One of the most spectacular sights is the flocks of thousands of flamingos that gather at the water’s edge.

Amidst all this natural beauty, you'll enjoy a lunch break around midday. In the late afternoon, you'll head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Natron today, your journey takes you on a scenic road trip through northern Tanzania to the striking Lake Natron. After breakfast, you will set off, traveling through Tanzania’s ever-changing landscapes. As you pass through the Great Rift Valley and continue toward Lake Natron, you’ll observe the transformation from lush, green vegetation to increasingly arid, dusty terrain.

Along the way, you’ll glimpse occasional Maasai villages, gradually fading into the distant scenery. As you venture further north, the dramatic remnants of ancient volcanoes begin to dominate the horizon. Among them is Ol Doinyo Lengai, known as the “Mountain of God” in the Maasai language—a rare example of an active volcano.

Upon arrival at Lake Natron, you might see plumes of smoke rising from Ol Doinyo Lengai, vanishing into the sky. You will spend the night at your selected accommodation, surrounded by this otherworldly and unforgettable landscape.
