Arrive to tarangire national park

Begin your safari adventure with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading southwest toward Tarangire National Park—one of Tanzania’s most picturesque and wildlife-rich parks. The drive takes approximately 2–3 hours, giving you a glimpse of the rural Tanzanian landscape and local villages along the way.

Upon arrival at the park, you'll embark on a full-day game drive, exploring its vast savannahs, acacia woodlands, and riverine habitats. Tarangire is especially renowned for its large elephant populations and the striking baobab trees that dot the landscape like ancient natural sculptures. Keep your eyes open for lions, leopards, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of antelope species.

As the sun begins to set, exit the park and drive to the nearby town of Mto wa Mbu, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive at your lodge, where you can freshen up and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater tour to Arusha

Your day begins at 7:00 AM with a scenic drive from Mto wa Mbu to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you ascend into the highlands, enjoy changing landscapes and cooler temperatures. Upon arrival, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive in one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife habitats.

The crater floor offers excellent opportunities to spot a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and the rare black rhino. The permanent water sources and rich grasslands make it a haven for wildlife and an unforgettable safari experience.

Around midday, you’ll stop at a designated picnic site inside the crater to enjoy lunch surrounded by nature. Afterward, continue your game drive before ascending the crater rim and beginning your return journey.

You’ll arrive back in Arusha by early evening, marking the end of your incredible day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater.
