You will be picked up from the airport by a Lion King representative and driven to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will hopefully have time to relax and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime!
Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania and most travellers pass through at some stage.

Day 2
Arusha to tarangire
Arusha to tarangire
Your Taratibu adventure Safari guide will collect you from your accommodation after breakfast. You will then drive to Tarangire National Park. This transit drive is approximately two and a half hours on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire than anywhere else on the planet! The huge and ancient baobab trees can be seen here. Some of them are said to have lived for more than a thousand years.
Lunch will be at a picnic site inside the park. After your game drive, you will transit to your accommodation in Karatu.

Day 3
Karatu to Serengeti
Karatu to Serengeti
After breakfast at 8:30 am, you will drive from karatu to Serengeti which takes 6 hours (includes all stops) as it transits through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Stop at: Ngorongoro Crater
Duration: 20 minutes
Visit a Maasai village. Its optional to visit (not included in the price) and explore the culture of the great Maasai tribe known for chasing lions of their kill, hunting lions to be considered a warrior and drinking raw animal blood. Though these traditions are a thing of the past with exception of drinking blood, you can surely learn something.
Duration: 20-45 minutes

Serengeti National Park
Arrive in the late afternoon and do a game drive in Seronera (centre of Serengeti) until late evening. Experience the sunset in Serengeti while having a close view of wild animals. If you're lucky enough, you'll see a predator hunting or on a kill.

Day 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After an early breakfast at 6:30 am, you will go on an early game drive seeing a lot of animals till the afternoon. We will then head to camp for lunch and packing. Then we'll do a game drive while we exit the Serengeti heading to Simba Campsite (2 hours drive) near rim of Ngorongoro Crater.
Note; animals can be spotted on campsites.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
After an early breakfast, you will descend the crater at 6:15 am on a journey to find the black rhino. Rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a floor crater.
After lunch, you will do a game drive and ascend from the crater floor at around 12:45 pm. Head to the camp and pack for the trip back to Arusha town.
