Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, you’ll depart for Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch in hand. The park is known for herds of up to 300 elephants scraping the dry riverbed for water, while nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland gather around shrinking lagoons. Tarangire is a key dry-season refuge for many migrant animals and a welcoming home for elephants. Later, enjoy dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will depart the lodge at 8:30 am en route to Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic hot lunch in hand. After a full-day game drive, you will proceed to the Marera Valley for dinner and your overnight stay.
Stretching 50 km along the base of the rusty-gold, 600-meter-high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, described by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa.” The compact game-viewing circuit offers a microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience. From the entrance gate, the road winds through a lush groundwater forest where large troops of baboons lounge along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly among ancient mahogany trees, bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk loudly in the high canopy.

After breakfast, you will make your way to Serengeti National Park for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in hand. A million wildebeest, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfill their instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life here as they participate in a frenzied three-week period of territorial conquests and mating. They also face a survival challenge as they cross crocodile-infested waters in 40 km (25 mile) long columns during their annual migration north. After a brief population surge that produces more than 8,000 calves daily, the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.
