Our driver guide will fetch you after breakfast. Today, you'll head to Tarangire National Park, a two-and-a-half-hour drive on well-maintained roads.

Named after the Tarangire River, the park relies on this 'river of warthogs' as the sole water source for wildlife in the dry season. Known for its elephant families gathering by the river, the park also hosts giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, accompanied by predators like lions and leopards.

Continue driving across the conservation area to enter the Serengeti National Park from the south. As you arrive, the vast, open grasslands unfold before you—awe-inspiring and alive with wildlife. The Serengeti is famous for the Great Migration, where massive herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes move in search of greener pastures. The migration is a year-round event, with different phases happening in different regions—knowing where to look is key.

Your accommodation for the next three nights is planned for the Central Serengeti, though it may be adjusted based on the current location of the migrating herds, ensuring you’re in the heart of the action.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Start your day by witnessing your final sunrise over the Serengeti—a truly magical moment. After breakfast, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater, taking in the stunning scenery along the way.

The Ngorongoro Crater, hidden within steep volcanic walls, reveals a pristine wilderness filled with vast savannahs, patches of acacia woodland, shimmering lakes, and swamps. This natural wonder was formed 2 to 3 million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed, creating one of the world’s largest intact calderas.

Descending into the crater is an adventure itself. Once on the crater floor, you’ll be surrounded by large herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The crater also offers one of the best opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino, which sometimes grazes openly on the grasslands.

After a full afternoon of exploration and game viewing, you will drive to your accommodation in Karatu for a restful evening.

Lake Manyara to Arusha

This morning, head to Lake Manyara National Park, your final destination on this extraordinary safari! Manyara, a small yet diverse park 120km west of Arusha, offers a unique experience. It's both compact (one of Africa's narrowest parks) and epic (the Great Rift Escarpment towers over Lake Manyara's western boundary).

The park's centerpiece is a shallow, salt lake covering a large area, fluctuating with the seasons and hosting thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. Spot baboons and elephants in the park's dense evergreen forest, and be on the lookout for the famed tree-climbing lions.

Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park. After your game drive, choose your drop-off point, whether it's Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport. We trust you've relished your adventure with us!
