Upon your arrival in Kigali—either at the airport or from your hotel—our driver-guide will warmly welcome you and begin your scenic journey to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. As we drive through the beautiful countryside, you’ll be treated to stunning views of Rwanda’s iconic terraced hills, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa."

Arrive in the late afternoon and enjoy a relaxed stroll through a nearby village before settling in for dinner and an overnight stay.

Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Uganda

After an early breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before your golden monkey trekking experience. This exciting adventure typically lasts 4–6 hours, taking you through the bamboo forests where these playful primates live.

Return for lunch, then continue your journey across the border into Uganda. Depending on permits and availability, you’ll track mountain gorillas in either Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Gorilla Trekking in Uganda & Return to Kigali

After an early breakfast, your guide will escort you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking activity. You’ll then set off into the forest with expert rangers in search of the majestic mountain gorillas.

The trek can range from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find them, you’ll spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat.

After this unforgettable experience, return to the base and begin your drive back to Kigali. You’ll be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
