Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in the breathtaking Northern Serengeti, a region known for its dramatic landscapes, exceptional wildlife concentrations, and pivotal role in the annual Great Migration. This remote section of the park, bordering the Maasai Mara in Kenya, offers a more exclusive and less crowded safari experience. The Northern Serengeti is dominated by rugged terrain, rolling hills, and the iconic Mara River, where one of nature’s most dramatic events unfolds—the perilous river crossings. During migration season, thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempt to cross the river, risking their lives against powerful currents and lurking crocodiles. This area is also a prime location for spotting predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, which take advantage of the abundance of prey. Beyond the migration, the region teems with resident wildlife including elephants, giraffes, eland, and an array of bird species.

This route offers a diverse range of wildlife sightings, including large herds of herbivores, solitary predators on the prowl, and an abundance of birdlife. The Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera Valley, is renowned for its rich biodiversity and consistent predator activity, making it one of the best areas in the park for spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. Full Game Drive Ngorongoro Crater Later On Drive to Arusha for Departure
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders. Often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. Spanning approximately 260 square kilometers and enclosed by towering walls nearly 600 meters high, the crater forms a natural sanctuary for an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Within its lush, self-contained ecosystem, you'll have the rare chance to encounter the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—in a single day. The crater floor is a mosaic of grasslands, swamps, acacia forests, and the shallow Lake Magadi, where flamingos and other water birds gather in striking numbers. This unique landscape also supports large herds of wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and a dense population of lions, while black rhinos are occasionally spotted grazing in the open plains.
