Lake Manyara National Park is famed for its dramatic setting a vast, shallow soda lake that spans two-thirds of the park, nestled beneath the towering cliffs of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. This rich and varied landscape supports a remarkable diversity of wildlife, including one of Africa’s largest elephant populations. The park is also known for its rare tree-climbing lions and vibrant flocks of flamingos, drawn to the lake by its algae-rich waters.
