Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your journey starts from Entebbe International Airport where you will board a domestic flight to Kihihi. A representative from Unveil Uganda Safaris will be waiting at Kihihi Airstrip to drive you to the lodge. The 45-minute drive runs along a beautiful jeep track that dips into villages and skirts steep hills with stunning views of the lake below. Offering some of the best views in Uganda, Buhoma Gorilla Camp is perched on a peninsula overlooking a series of small islands scattered across the water and the volcanoes from the Virunga Range rising out of the mist in the distance.

Gorilla Tracking Experience

Today is the highlight of your trip and a dream come true. After a heavy breakfast, you will drive for about for some minutes to the park headquarters for briefing, which usually starts with a traditional dance and a general briefing. Afterward, you will be distributed into groups of 8 people per group. Families are allocated at this point, the trekking time depends on where the gorilla family allocated to you is located. The trek usually takes 4 hours or sometimes 8 hours in total. Viewing time with gorillas is strictly one hour. A face mask is a must. Afterward, you'll return to your lodge and relax.
