Your journey begins early with a shared shuttle transfer from Johannesburg (±06:30 am) to the Kruger region — a scenic 5–6 hour drive through Mpumalanga’s countryside.

Arrive at your budget safari lodge near Kruger in time for check-in and a quick rest. After head out for your first open vehicle safari in the late afternoon.

Afternoon Game Drive (±3 hours)
Explore Kruger’s iconic landscapes during the golden hour when animals are active and the bush is alive. With luck, you’ll spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and perhaps even lions as the sun begins to set.

Return to the lodge for a hearty South African dinner.

Wake early for a full day of wildlife discovery in Kruger National Park.

Full-Day Game Drive (±8–9 hours)
You’ll enter Kruger as the gates open, maximising your chances of seeing the Big 5 — lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard — as well as zebras, impalas, hyenas, and incredible birdlife.

Travel in an open-sided safari vehicle with a certified guide who will help you track animals and explain the bushveld’s rich ecology. You’ll stop at rest camps for breakfast and lunch (at your own cost or included depending on package).

Return to camp by late afternoon for dinner.
