Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and a transfer to the ferry port for the first ferry to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you'll meet your driver and start the scenic drive to Mikumi National Park, passing through charming villages and beautiful landscapes.

Once in the Mikumi area, you’ll visit a local Maasai village to experience their rich traditions and vibrant culture. Learn about their way of life, unique customs, and connection to the natural world.

After this cultural encounter, you’ll head to your lodge near the park, where you can relax and unwind, ready for an exciting safari the following day.

Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

Wake up early for a full day of wildlife viewing in Mikumi National Park. After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive through diverse habitats including savannahs, acacia woodlands, and waterholes frequented by hippos and crocodiles. Keep your camera ready as you track herds of buffalo, antelope, and elephant, and watch for predators like lions resting in the shade. A hot or picnic lunch will be served inside the park to maximize your time in the bush. Continue your game drive into the afternoon for more chances to spot elusive species and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the African wilderness. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
