Rhino Tracking at Ziwa & Transfer to Murchison Falls

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, brief you about the safari, then you embark on a scenic drive northwards. Your first stop will be at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track rhinos on foot. Accompanied by a ranger, you’ll enjoy an up-close encounter with the Southern White Rhinos while learning about their behavior and conservation story. After this memorable experience, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. On arrival, proceed to the top of the falls to marvel at the Nile as it squeezes through a narrow gorge, exploding into a powerful cascade. Later, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight, ready for the adventures ahead.

Big Five Game Viewing & Cruise to the Falls

After an early breakfast, set off for a morning game drive on the northern plains of Murchison Falls National Park. With your guide, explore the savannah in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and different antelope species while enjoying the beauty of the sunrise and birdlife. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, head for a spectacular boat cruise on the Nile, where you will encounter schools of hippos, basking crocodiles, and a variety of water birds along the riverbanks. The cruise takes you to the base of the thunderous Murchison Falls, offering incredible views and photo opportunities. For the adventurous, an optional hike to the top of the falls can be arranged for a breathtaking vantage point. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as you unwind from a day full of wildlife and adventure.

After an early breakfast, check out from your lodge and begin the scenic drive back to Kampala. En route, enjoy views of rural landscapes and local villages. Learn about Uganda’s history, culture, and local life from your knowledgeable guide.
