Rise at dawn for a 7:00 am pickup by your driver-guide in Nairobi or your city hotel. Meander along winding roads to Lake Naivasha, pausing at a Rift Valley viewpoint. Arrive, settle into your lodge, and savour a leisurely lunch. After a brief rest, set out on an afternoon walking safari in Hell’s Gate National Park, where giraffes nibble acacia, elands and buffalo roam grassy plains, and elusive cats slip through shadows. Return at dusk for dinner and overnight comfort.

At dawn choose an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha (USD 60). Return for breakfast before winding roads lead you to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive, settle into your lodge, and savour a lakeside lunch. After a brief rest venture into Nakuru’s bird-lover’s haven, where flamingos tint the shoreline pink. Watch for Rothschild’s giraffes and white and black rhinos. Climb Baboon Cliff, roam Lion Hill, and discover Makalia Falls. Return at dusk for dinner and overnight rest.
