Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your private Nathan African Safari guide.

From here, you’ll either fly (optional upgrade) or drive through Tanzania’s scenic highlands toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. As you enter the park, the landscape opens up into endless golden plains dotted with acacia trees and wildlife as far as the eye can see.
You’ll enjoy your first game drive and route to your tented camp, spotting giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and predators like lions and leopards.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Wake to the calls of the wild and, if you wish, embark on an optional early morning game drive to catch predators on the move. After breakfast, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a final game drive through the Serengeti and route.

Along the way, enjoy stunning views and perhaps visit a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience (optional). By late afternoon, arrive at your lodge perched on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll take in jaw-dropping views of the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera.

Ngorongoro crater to Arusha

Today you’ll descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as "Africa’s Garden of Eden" due to its rich biodiversity and concentration of wildlife.
With your expert guide, explore the crater floor—a self-contained world of grasslands, forests, and swamps teeming with animals. Keep your eyes open for black rhinos, large herds of buffalo, and hippos wallowing in the shallows, along with lions, hyenas, and more.
After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, begin your return journey to Arusha in the afternoon, arriving by early evening or transferred directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward travel.
