Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha as you drive through the picturesque Maasai Steppe to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its ancient baobab trees and dense elephant population. Enjoy a full-day game drive across open savannahs, riverine woodlands, and seasonal swamps where you may encounter lions, leopards, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and countless bird species.

Midday, you’ll pause for a picnic lunch in the heart of the park, offering fantastic views of the Tarangire River where animals come to drink. In the late afternoon, proceed to Karatu town, situated on the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Relax at your cozy mid-range lodge, set amid lush gardens, and enjoy a hearty dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater—home to over 25,000 large animals, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, and the elusive leopard. This breathtaking natural amphitheater provides one of the highest chances to spot all members of Africa’s iconic Big Five in a single day.

Your safari includes visits to the crater floor’s open plains, soda lakes (often dotted with flamingos), forests, and swamps. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before continuing your exploration of this wildlife paradise. Later in the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and drive back to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
