Day 1

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After enjoying an early breakfast in Arusha, you will depart at approximately 7:30 AM and embark on a scenic drive towards Tarangire National Park, which typically takes around two and a half hours. Upon arrival at Tarangire by 10:00 AM, you will begin a full day of game viewing in this remarkable park, renowned for its majestic baobab trees, expansive savannah landscapes, and large herds of elephants the park’s most famous residents. As you explore, you may also spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and a variety of bird species, making for an enriching wildlife experience. Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s designated picnic sites, offering a chance to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. In the late afternoon, after your game drive, you will exit the park and head to the town of Karatu, where you will check into a comfortable mid-range lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, preparing for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2

Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will depart around 7:30 AM for Lake Manyara National Park, a short drive of approximately 30 minutes from Karatu. Upon arrival, you will begin a game drive through the park's incredibly diverse landscapes, which include lush groundwater forests, open grassy plains, and the sparkling shores of Lake Manyara itself. This park is well known for its unique population of tree-climbing lions, as well as elephants, hippos, large troops of baboons, and countless bird species such as flamingos that gather along the lake’s edge. As you explore, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the scenic designated spots within the park. In the afternoon, after a fulfilling wildlife experience, you will return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast at around 6:30 AM, you will depart from your lodge and make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into this breathtaking natural wonder for a full day of exploration. The Crater floor is often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World” due to its incredible concentration of wildlife within a relatively small area. As you drive across the diverse habitats grasslands, swamps, forests, and lakes you may encounter the famous Big Five: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhino, along with cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeests, and an abundance of birdlife. Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool picnic site, where you can relax while watching hippos wallow in the water. In the early afternoon, you will ascend the Crater walls and begin the drive back to Arusha, where you are expected to arrive by around 5:00 PM, marking the end of your memorable safari adventure.
