Depending on your location in Kigali, you will be met by our safari guide and embark on your journey to Nyungwe forest national park which is a 6-7 hours' drive from Kigali south of Kigali city. You will make stopovers at the tranditional King's Palace and later the museum and en-route lunch. Upon arrival in Nyungwe, proceed to check-in your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel for mid-range option.

Day 2
Chimpanzee tracking – Canopy walkway experience
Chimpanzee tracking – Canopy walkway experience
Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing about the endangered chimpanzees before entering the forest in search of the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are much easier to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking usually takes about 3 hours. On finding them, spend an hour while taking pictures and videos. You will then return to your accommodation for lunch.
After lunch, you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk-a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird's eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 3
Transfer to Volcanoes national park
Transfer to Volcanoes national park
After your breakfast, check-out of the lodge and transfer to Volcanoes national park with en-route stop at Kibyuyron Lake Kivu for lunch offering great views of Lake Kivu. Proceed to Volcanoes national park and check-in at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Da Vinci Gorilla lodge for mid-range.

Day 4
Gorilla Trekking and Ibya wacu community tour
Gorilla Trekking and Ibya wacu community tour
You will enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00am. After briefing, you will start your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas; this takes 2 to 5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. You will spend 1 hour with these gentle giants and later return to your lodge to refresh and relax.
In afternoon, you can do a community tour visiting Iby’ cuwa cultural village for a Rwanda cultural experience. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 5

After breakfast, meet with your driver and drive back to the park headquarter at Kinigi at 7:00 am for briefing and you will later head off for hiking. The hike will typically take a full day from 6 to 8 hours depending on your hiking experience. During the climb, you will cross a series of different vegetation habitats starting with bamboo forests, then moving into Hagenia – Hypericum forest and finally moving through Senecio – Lobelia bush near the summit. You will carry your packed lunch with you and some drinks as well. You will later return to your hotel, check-out and embark on your drive back to Kigali, which is anout 2-3 hours' drive. You will be dropped off at allocation you advise in Kigali.
