Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. The scenic drive takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you arrive at Arusha Airport (ARK), the transfer is shorter—approximately 20–30 minutes. Once at the hotel, check in and enjoy views of the surroundings from your room.
For those interested, an optional guided city tour is available for an extra cost. This tour offers a chance to explore Arusha’s culture, local markets, and key landmarks. Alternatively, you may choose to relax at the hotel and unwind in the peaceful atmosphere.
In the evening, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner featuring local ingredients as you prepare for the incredible safari experience ahead.

Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire

After breakfast, depart from Arusha for a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Upon arrival, embark on an exciting game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, where you may spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and a wide variety of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the designated sites within the park, taking in the natural surroundings. In the afternoon, continue your wildlife exploration as your guide helps you track and identify animals.
Later, exit the park and drive to your lodge in Karatu. Upon arrival, check in and unwind in the peaceful atmosphere. Enjoy a delicious dinner and relax for the night in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3
Karatu to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 1-hour drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Descend into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for an unforgettable full-day game drive. The crater floor offers a unique opportunity to spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—as well as hippos, zebras, wildebeests, and flocks of flamingos by the lake.
Your expert guide will provide fascinating insights into the area’s ecology and history as you explore its varied landscapes, from open grasslands to acacia forests and soda lakes. Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic site within the crater, surrounded by wildlife and stunning views.

Start your final day with an early breakfast before heading to Lake Manyara National Park, located just 30 minutes from your lodge in Karatu. Enjoy a game drive through this lush park, known for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, hippos, and vibrant birdlife along the lakeshore. After soaking in the beauty and wildlife, begin your drive back to Arusha. You’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport for your onward journey.
