Ultimate Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Ultimate Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast, transfer to the starting point for a briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure. You will then be guided by experienced trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes, starting from the site where the gorillas were last seen. The hike can be physically demanding, but the anticipation and the beauty of the forest make it worthwhile. One of Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters awaits, standing just meters from mountain gorillas as they eat, rest, play, and bond. It is a humbling experience to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Track them as they move freely through the forest, sharing their environment with many other species. You will have one hour with the gorillas before descending back to the lodge. If the trek ends early, enjoy a guided nature walk around the lodge and local communities. Return for dinner and a restful night.

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and travel to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest National Park of Uganda. Though being small, it has a lot offer. Centered on a series of swamp-fringed lakes its birdlife is very rich. The green acacia woodland harbors wildlife like Zebra, warthog, Eland, Impala, not to mention the lake itself, which is home to schools of hippos and crocodiles. Furthermore, Uganda Wildlife Authority recently brought 15 giraffes from Murchison falls to Lake Mburo.
You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, enjoy the boat ride on Lake Mburo and get quite close to the crocodiles and hippos. You may have an evening game drive as you return to your lodge.

Safari Walk in Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Entebbe
Wake up early, pack up your belongings and have breakfast before continuing for a safari walk under the escort of an armed ranger. The Kopjes are particularly interesting with the camouflage klipspringers and Topis. Due to cattle herding in the area it is amusing to see zebra grazing alongside the long horned Ankole cattle peaceably. It is exciting to approach wildlife at such close range.
Later drive to Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator. Here you will too have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time. Take some photos, then another stopover at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations arriving in the afternoon.
