In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive in search of the “Samburu Special Five”: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and the long-necked gerenuk. The Ewaso Nyiro River sustains life here, drawing elephants, lions, leopards, and a wide array of birds.
