Getting to Nxai Pan

Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Maun to Nxai Pan National Park. Along the way, enjoy your first game viewing experience as you enter the park and head toward your mobile safari camp. Upon arrival, settle into your comfortable tented camp.

In the afternoon, set off on a game drive through the open pans in search of wildlife such as elephants, zebras, springbok, and predators like lions or cheetahs. Stop at a scenic viewpoint to enjoy a classic safari sundowner as the sun sets over the landscape.

Return to camp for a delicious dinner under the stars, followed by relaxation around the campfire before retiring for the night.

Exploring Nxai Pan

Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive in Nxai Pan. Explore the park’s open landscapes and spot a variety of wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and possibly lions or cheetahs. Return to camp for lunch and enjoy some rest during the midday heat.

In the afternoon, take a scenic drive to visit the iconic Baines’ Baobabs—a group of massive, ancient trees made famous by explorer Thomas Baines in the 1860s. Set against a flat salt pan, these baobabs offer stunning views and a peaceful setting for photos and exploration. Learn about their history and significance while enjoying the area’s unique beauty.

If time and weather allow, enjoy sundowner drinks near the baobabs before heading back to camp.

End the day with a delicious bush dinner and relax by the campfire under the stars.
