Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, with a picnic lunch provided to enjoy amidst the stunning scenery. During the dry season, the Tarangire River often runs dry, and you’ll witness an incredible gathering of up to 300 elephants at the remaining water sources as they search for alternative streams. Alongside them, nomadic herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests, and elands come together at the shrinking lagoons. This park is a vital sanctuary during the dry months, serving as a safe haven for migratory animals and a permanent home for a large elephant population. The landscape is dotted with majestic baobab trees and diverse birdlife, creating an unforgettable safari experience. After a day filled with wildlife viewing and photo opportunities, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night relaxing at Ngare Lodge, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the African wilderness.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will travel to Serengeti National Park for a full-day game drive, enjoying a picnic lunch in this iconic wilderness. Here, you’ll witness one of nature’s most extraordinary events—the Great Migration. Over a million wildebeest, driven by an ancient instinct, participate in a dramatic 3-week period of territorial battles, mating, and survival of the fittest. They then begin their epic 1,000 km (600 miles) journey north, moving in long columns up to 40 km (25 miles) long, crossing crocodile-infested rivers in a remarkable display of endurance. This annual migration also results in a brief population surge, with more than 8,000 calves born daily, continuing the cycle of life. The Serengeti’s vast plains and abundant wildlife create a breathtaking backdrop for this unforgettable safari experience.
